Proud to be in Good Company as a Stevie for Women in Business Finalist in Four Categories
Good news from the folks at the Stevie Awards for Women in Business yesterday – Staff Management | SMX was named a Finalist in four award categories in this year’s 8th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. The company is a Finalist in the Fastest-Growing Company of the Year category and the Best Overall Company of the Year category for service businesses with up to 2,500 employees. Joan Davison, our President and Chief Operating Officer, was named a Stevie Finalist in the Best Executive category for service businesses with up to 2,500 employees and the Lifetime Achievement category for all service businesses.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honors women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run – worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards. Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging. Last year’s Stevie winners included Accenture, Salesforce.com, and Citrix Systems as well as Staff Management | SMX. This year’s competition drew a record number of entries – more than 1,300.
In yesterday’s announcement of Stevie Finalists, Michael Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards said: “Women entrepreneurs and executives continue to innovate, excel, and impress. Regardless of general economic conditions, the achievements of women-owned and –run organizations around the world remain high and are reflected in this year’s impressive body of finalists.”

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” winners will be announced during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Friday, November 11. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S.A and several other countries are expected to attend. The presentations will be broadcast live on radio in the U.S.A. by the Business TalkRadio Network.
