December 2015 Employment Trends Report [Infographic]
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), total nonfarm payroll employment added 211,000 jobs in November. The unemployment rate was unchanged at 5%. Over the past three months, total non-farm payroll employment gains have averaged 218,000 per month compared to an average of 237,000 per month over the last 12 months.
The food services and drinking places sector saw the largest gains in November with 32,000 jobs added while retail trade came in second, adding 31,000 jobs. Temporary help services is up 2.6% compared to November 2014 and year-to-year staffing job growth averaged 4.9% over the past 12 months.
