| WRC Designation - The Certification Process |
In order to earn the designation of WRC Certified, staffing firms must undergo a comprehensive operational evaluation process. The Workers' Compensation and Risk Certification (WRC), publicly recognizes companies who operate at the highest levels in regards to safety and risk management. Drawing influence from the ISO family of standards, this corporate designation offers staffing buyers an effective way to identify staffing firms that share their high standards for safety and risk management. Objectives of WRC Certification
The certification process includes an application phase, review and understanding of the standard, onsite training, and onsite operational compliance assessment(s). Assessment results are compared against a system of best practices developed by an advisory council of insurance carriers, insurance brokers, staffing industry risk managers and American Staffing Association (ASA) executives. The assessment includes a review of how staffing companies prescreen, qualify and interview applicants. The process contemplates how employees are evaluated, matched to jobs and trained before they are sent to a worksite. Furthermore, the WRC Certification process extends into the client partnership and how staffing services build safety partnerships, communicate with clients and maintain focus on client facility and production goals. Should an accident or injury occur, WRC Certified firms are trained to react immediately and work with the client to ensure that all employees are safe from similar harm. Staff Management | SMX is proud to be among WRC Certified companies that offer superior matching of talent, preservation of the safety record of their clients (OSHA 300 logs), lower turnover and increased productivity among other benefits. The WRC Certified logo distinguishes staffing providers whose commitment to risk management is fundamental and supported by best practices. These firms also agree to abide by the Industry Code of Ethics as a condition of certification. The principles that compose these standards differentiates a partner from a provider. |
