Joan Davison is the President and Chief Operating Officer for Staff Management | SMX, a leading provider of temporary staffing and contingent workforce management solutions that provide best talent, drive compliance, yield tangible savings and build sustainable value. Joan is a board member of Staffing Solutions Holdings, Inc., the parent company for The Seaton Companies, Staff Management, SMX, PeopleScout and StudentScout.

Joan sets the company’s strategic direction and is responsible for driving continued staffing solution growth and innovation. She oversees Staff Management’s global operations and partners with senior leaders at some of the world’s most respected companies to help Staff Management’s client achieve sustainable value from their staffing programs. An expert in workforce management, Joan has earned a reputation as a level headed leader who delivers operationally.

Since Joan was appointed COO in 2006, the company has grown by more than fifty-percent and Joan has led the organization's international expansion across the Americas, Europe and the Asia-Pacific Region. During Joan's tenure, Staff Management achieved charter membership in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement IMAGE Program in 2006, earned Workers’ Compensation Risk Certification (WRC) in 2011, won a 2011 Stevie for Women and Business for Best Overall Company of the Year, was ranked the # 1 MSP Provider on HRO Today magazine's 2011 MSP Provider Baker's Dozen and achieved its best ever rankings by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) as one of the largest global, U.S. and industrial staffing in 2011.

A Staff Management Foresight Award winner, Joan has been a featured speaker at several key Contingent Workforce Management (CWM) events, is a regular contributor to industry publications and is a member of the steering committee for the Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) Advisory Group. Prior to joining Staff Management in 1996, Joan spent 12 years in the relocation management industry where she held numerous positions including Vice President of Operations. Joan is a graduate of Saint Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management.
