Staff Management | SMX has a proven track record of success in sourcing, negotiating, on-boarding and managing supplier performance to achieve client performance, compliance and savings goals.

Based on our experience working with suppliers around the globe, our Supplier Management Team is able to provide our clients with valuable industry insights, leverage existing relationships and ultimately ensure that supplier management best practices are employed for each of our clients. Our Supplier Management Team works with our clients to develop a short and long-term supplier management strategy that aligns with their objectives. 

Key Supplier Management responsibilities include:
Supplier Sourcing

To support our commitment to supplier partnership our Supplier Management Team works with clients to select and manage the optimal supplier mix - with client diversity goals at the top of mind. The team supports complete sourcing initiatives from Request for Proposal (RFP), to contract negotiation, through on-going performance management. Staff Management | SMX will source from existing client suppliers, our established network of 500+ suppliers and/or from outside suppliers.

Performance Management

Staff Management | SMX monitors critical supplier performance metrics by utilizing a supplier score card. We evaluate suppliers on items such as reconciliation, audit scores and performance against their Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This allows us to compare suppliers across a client network in order to reward suppliers with good performance with additional requisition opportunities and to share best practices. All performance management activities will be linked back to supplier contractual SLAs. In the event that a supplier’s performance suffers, we will work directly with the supplier to understand the root cause and to design a Supplier Action Plan to drive improved performance. We conduct quarterly and annual reviews with our staffing suppliers to examine performance, but also to understand how the program could work better for them.

Supplier Summits

Our Supplier Management Team holds regular supplier summits for all of the suppliers within a client supplier network, to keep our suppliers abreast of developments within the client’s environment, business forecasting and other information necessary for a successful supply base. This allows us to introduce new initiatives, provide supplemental program and technology training, and to provide comparative performance metrics so that suppliers understand how their individual performance compares to the group.

Supplier Audit

Our Supplier Management Team audits suppliers regularly to ensure performance metrics are being tracked accurately and that they are compliant with client contracts. Staff Management | SMX creates action plans to support improved performance and compliance.  We also review supplier certifications, payroll ledger and other key documents to ensure compliance.
