Staff Management's COO, Joan Davison, and VP of Infrastructure Development, Claudia Roemer, were on hand September 9, 2008 in Washington, D.C. to participate in a signing-in ceremony for 37 new members to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers (IMAGE) program. The event was part of a three-day IMAGE conference focusing on the latest safeguards for workforce integrity.
In welcoming the new companies to the IMAGE program, Julie L. Myers, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for ICE, said, “Thank you for joining ICE in protecting national security by ensuring the integrity of your workforces.”
“Your ability to aspire to and meet the IMAGE standard is an example to all those in your industry of corporate leadership and good citizenship. It’s also a signal to your clients and business partners that you care about your brand and their reputation in partnering with you.”
Shortly after the ceremony, Staff Management and another IMAGE charter member joined Asst. Secretary Myers in a news briefing where they fielded questions from such major press and media outlets as COX News Service, Los Angeles Times, Washington Times, and Workforce Management Magazine.
Being selected to participate in this exclusive press conference with Asst. Secretary Myers was based on Staff Management's ongoing commitment to the IMAGE program, and its ability to leverage best practices on hiring and maintaining a legal workforce to benefit their clients.
Asst. Secretary Myers also noted that companies that have been IMAGE members for more than two years attest that they are seeing more stability in their workforces and more interest on the part of clients in contracting with compliant companies.
