A North American leader in comprehensive waste and environmental services was unsatisfied with its incumbent Managed Service Provider (MSP). Program costs were high, the MSP lacked proactive staffing supplier management, the client was experiencing an unacceptable level of risk, hiring manager concerns were not resolved in a timely manner and program adoption rates for hiring managers were low.

The client wanted a more robust, integrated staffing solution that leveraged industry best practices with a proactive staffing supplier management strategy that their current MSP lacked. Despite the negatives, the company was satisfied with the Vendor Management System (VMS) that was deployed as part of the MSP program and wanted it to remain a part of the new staffing solution.

Staff Management | SMX was selected to provide a comprehensive MSP solution and dedicated service team, which includes a centralized client services desk to support field operations. The Staff Management | SMX team also included a dedicated Program Manager on-site at the client’s corporate headquarters to provide focused support for the contingent workforce, including requisition management, candidate review and creating candidate shortlists for the hiring manager to reduce recruitment time and improve the fit-to-hire ratio. A dedicated Supplier Manager was included to provide a knowledgeable, hands-on approach to supplier management. Finally, a dedicated Director of Operations was tasked with driving program performance, cost savings and on-going return on investment for the client.
