Staff Management | SMX Rings in the Holiday Season for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago
Support Enables a Day of Giving for Bigs & Littles
CHICAGO - December 9, 2011 — On Saturday, December 10th nearly 400 Little Brothers and Little Sisters and their respective Bigs will gather at U.S. Cellular Field’s Stadium Club for a day of food, fun, games, and even an appearance from Santa Claus himself. The event, sponsored by Staff Management | SMX, honors the members of the community based program of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago (BBBSMC).
BBBSMC provides one-to-one mentoring relationships between at-risk youth and screened and trained mentors. These relationships are designed to affect positive, measurable and sustainable changes in the lives of participating children, their families and their communities.
The event will include activity stations offering everything from cookie decorating to dancing and arts and crafts, and a catered lunch for all participants, including Big Brothers Big Sisters staff and members of the organization's Board of Directors.
Art Mollenhauer, Chief Executive Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago says, “We are very excited to have Staff Management | SMX as one of our key partners for a second year. Their support allows us to hold a very special day for all of our matches to celebrate the Holidays.”
“We strongly believe in the work of Big Brothers Big Sisters and appreciate the investment that they make in the lives of these children” says Joan Davison, President & COO, Staff Management | SMX. “BBBSMC is a true leader in the effort to provide meaningful community service and we are thrilled to be associated with their efforts.”
