CHICAGO - April 20, 2008 – Staff Management, a pioneer in high-volume, vendor-on-premise (VOP) and Managed Service Provider (MSP) staffing solutions, hosted a plant tour in April at one of their client sites in Coffeyville, Kansas as part of an effort to forge relationships at the city and state level.

One of the honored guests was Senator Dwayne Umbarger, chair of the Kansas Ways and Means Committee, which oversees funding for many community assistance programs. Other visitors included Representative Jeff King, Representative Virgil Peck, and Lisa Kuehn, Executive Director of the Coffeyville Chamber of Commerce.

Coffeyville had been hit hard by flooding in 2007, turning housing, population loss and high costs into major concerns for the community. Staff Management’s Coffeyville office hosted a plant tour, reaching out to key decision makers to discuss important issues, such as housing and public transit. Many Staff Management applicants are unable to work at the site due to a lack of public transportation. However, the hope is that the relationships built through the plant tour and other community outreach efforts may lead to subsidies or grants.
